Aquarium Society presents the All-Aquarium Catfish Convention:
Amazon Expedition 2008! PVAS will take you on an Amazon Expedition through
South America, exploring the Amazon Basin and surrounding areas from land and
water, and habitats big and small of catfishes and much, much more. Speakers
scheduled are Devon Graham, Ph.D.: Expedition Amazon; Wayne Leibel, Ph.D.:
Waters of the Amazon; Julian “Jools” Dignall: Collecting Catfishes in South America;
Ingo Seidel: Breeding Loricariid Catfishes; Hans-Georg Evers: Ecology of Corydoras &
Other Small Aquarium Catfishes; and Lee Finley: Keynote Address. The Friday night
workshops feature Ian Fuller: Breeding Corydoradine Catfishes; Greater Washington
Aquatic Plant Association: Catfishes for the Planted Aquarium; John Maier: Multiple
Aquarium Air Systems; and Mark Soberman: Aquascaping the Catfish Aquarium—
with more soon to be added. Friday, we’ll offer field trips to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor,
local fish stores, and collecting at Unicorn Lake with former North American Native

he American Killifish Association (AKA) is
dedicated to the propagation, study, and

members the opportunity to obtain and sell

The Angelfish Society

of aquarium, herptile, and pond clubs from

the hobby; a Fish Rescue Program to help
those hobbyists with large or unwanted fish

Great Lakes Cichlid Society

Northwest Killies Club
orth west Killies Club (N WK) is an affiliate
club of the American Killifish Association. Our
intent is to represent the interests of killifish
keepers of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Oregon, Washington, and as far away as Utah.
For that reason, we call ourselves a “virtual
